PHES Is a Houston Nursing School that Cares about Your Career

[Posted on July 02]

If you are looking for a Houston nursing school that offers refresher courses and one that cares about your career, PHES is here for you. We understand that sometimes a break is needed from nursing. Whether you took off time for maternity leave, had an illness or needed time to care for a loved one, we can provide you with the education that you need to confidently re-enter the workforce and provide your patients with excellent medical care. All of our course curriculum is approved by the Texas Board of Nursing and we provide a variety of courses to ensure that you are fully prepared to once again work in a clinical setting.

When you choose us for your RN refresher course, you will begin by studying at home via DVD. Once this portion of your education is complete you will move on to a classroom setting. Your studies will include any and all medications, treatments or technologies that were introduced during your absence and topics include anatomy and physiology, medication administration, pharmacology and physical assessment among others. Our instructors give you needed one-on-one time to ensure that you are fully prepared to re-enter the workforce. Our classes are currently limited to just 20 students each so that every student has the attention that he or she needs.

A nurse refresher course will give you confidence to properly care for your patients. We offer clinical sites in the Windsong Nursing and Rehab Facility in Pearland, TX as well as the Grace Care Nursing Home in Katy, TX for your practicum. Once you have finished your classwork you can move on to the clinical setting and begin caring for patients in a supervised environment. We take the time to ensure that our students are completely comfortable and confident in their abilities to provide excellent patient care before we release them to care for patients.

Upon completion of our coursework you will receive a certificate of completion in addition to 20 hours of continued education. If you have been away from nursing and you want to once again provide care for patients, we can help you to prepare yourself to re-enter the workforce. You can read more about the benefits of our nurse refresher courses by visiting our website at http://www.phesonline.com. You are also welcome to call us toll-free at any time by dialing 877-313-7437 or email us at PHES@windstream.net at any time.
